Edible History is a weekly newsletter about food history.

Each week the Edible History newsletter focuses on singular food histories, told through story, history and memory. Think the pineapple, Sole Meunière, or the cup of coffee. I have ongoing food series, like NYC Icons, and sometimes I spend a few weeks going deep on one singular food — this month it’s all about the story of the tomato.

I’m a New York City-based food historian, founder of historical dining collective Edible History, and the author of A History of The World in Ten Dinners. You can follow me on Instagram here and read more about my work here.
